The music festival, Stars in Town in Schaffhausen, took place for the 12th time, welcoming such music acts as Die Toten Hosen, Zucchero, Calum Scott, Rita Ora, Simply Red, and Lea & Michael Patrick Kelly. As in previous years, the guests of the festival (and the town citizens) got to enjoy the light installations in the old town, as well as free concerts of up-and-coming Swiss artists at the Talent Stage on Fronwagplatz.
Four of the seven festival days were completely sold out. In fact, the two main event sites, Herrenacker and Fronwagplatz, welcomed more than 60,000 visitors! Stars in Town offered a harmonious selection of bands every evening. Zucchero’s Italian blues rock was just as enthusiastic as German hip-hop and rap by SDP and Sido — or Classic Night with the legendary Simply Red.
In front of the unique backdrop of Schaffhausen’s old town, a special world was created for the second time, modeled after 2022’s event motto; “More than Music.” With the headliners on the Herrenacker, the newcomers on the Fronwagplatz, street artists, projections by Okula from Zurich, the Family Festival, numerous bars, and over 25 street food stalls, Stars in Town provided its guests with a phenomenal, multifaceted cultural experience.
