The 29th International Fine Watchmaking Exhibition Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) broke its own record in 2019 by hosting over 23,000 visitors, including brand representatives, VIPs, watch collectors and enthusiasts, end customers and journalists.
The exhibition’s recently implemented digital strategy proved to be successful, achieving high reach on social media and streaming platforms and generating lots of shared content about the event, industry news and watch-related novelties.
Among numerous highlights and surprises of this year’s program of SIHH were: panel discussions and keynotes in the auditorium; appearances by many of the exhibiting brands’ ambassadors including actors, athletes, models, singers and writers; the first-time initiative LAB that showcased exhibitors’ tech innovations and served as a place for networking and exchange of innovative ideas and expertise in the field of fine watchmaking: artificial intelligence, virtual reality and augmented craftsmanship.
Here are the first trends the exhibition revealed this year:
- perpetual calendars
- color as a part of the watch design, especially blue and green
- moon phases and “métiers d’art” dials
- women’s watches with exceptional gem-setting

The next year’s 30th spring edition will take place from April 26 to 29, 2020.
