In September 2023, Ukrainian photo artist Oleg Kushnir, renowned for his mastery in the Art Nude genre and founder of the Okcreative project, achieved a world record by crafting the tiniest Art Nude photographs, with the smallest piece measuring a mere 2 by 2 millimeters.
Hosted by Zurich’s CASAVIANA GALLERY, the exhibition brought together a captivating blend of Kushnir’s past and present work, showcasing selections from his earlier series, “The Fusion of Male and Female,” alongside fresh creations from “Shades of Existence.” These works delve into the profound interplay between opposing spiritual forces and the individuality of each art object, inviting viewers to explore the subtle chemistry between them.
What sets “Shades of Existence” apart is its ability to slow time. Kushnir’s miniature photographs do more than just demand attention—they create a pause, inviting the audience to stop and linger in the moment. Rather than rushing from image to image, viewers are drawn to reflect on each tiny, intricate detail, savoring the artistry in a deeper, more conscious way. It’s an invitation to engage, to immerse, and to be fully present in the here and now.
This exhibition is not just a visual experience, but a meditative journey—one that speaks to the heart of our fast-paced lives, urging us to take a breath and connect with the art in front of us. In “Shades of Existence,” the boundaries between art and viewer blur, creating a shared space of quiet contemplation.
