SBB Swisstainable

Switzerland, a holiday destination known for its spectacular mountains, wild gorges, and mystical forests, is committed to preserving its natural beauty for future generations. Central to this commitment is the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) and its Swisstainable framework, emphasizing eco-friendly and efficient public transportation.

SBB’s extensive rail network allows travelers to explore Switzerland comfortably and environmentally consciously. By choosing SBB, visitors reduce their carbon footprint while enjoying the country’s breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage.

Swisstainable travel involves using public transport for its environmental benefits and comfort. Trains offer immersion in unspoilt nature and authentic local culture, promoting regional products and extended stays.

Swisstainable travel with SBB offers an enriching, comfortable, and eco-friendly way to explore Switzerland, enhancing awareness and enjoyment while connecting deeply with the country’s landscapes and culture. Choose Swisstainable to discover sustainable travel in Switzerland, discover numerous offers, service providers, Swisstainable partners and packages on the SBB website.

We were happy to visit to Swisstainable destinations: Rhine Fall waterfalls (canton Schaffhausen) and a former monastery Kartause Ittingen (canton Thurgau) – now a peaceful place with a restaurant, hotel rooms, local produce store, vineyards, rose gradem and much more.
