The first-class medicine in a discrete and luxurious atmosphere is possible in Winterthur, in a Private Clinic Lindberg, 30 minutes from Zurich airport. The clinic is located in a prestigious and quiet location in Winterthur with beautiful views of the city and the foothills of the Alps. I recently visited the clinic and had the pleasure of meeting the regional director, Marco Gugolz. Our insightful discussion included a tour of the facilities and information about the services, areas of specialization and achievements of the establishment.

With around 100 accredited doctors covering a range of different specialties, the private clinic Lindberg offers a broad spectrum of services, including general surgery, accident surgery, traumatology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, urology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, visceral surgery, cardiology, gynecology. The latest milestones of the clinic include the newly opened dialysis room, innovative 3D printed orthopedic solutions, expansion of the 24-hour private emergency and the opening of the trauma unit. The Lindberg clinic treats around 2500 inpatients each year.
The President’s suite, as well as the Lindberg and Garden suites provide a lot of space (upwards of 120 m2), maximum comfort and plenty of daylight. A separate living area and a large bathroom, modern furniture, subtle beige colors, flowers and an elegant interior create a feeling that one is staying in a superior hotel rather than in a hospital room. A beautiful park area surrounds the clinic, so most of the rooms have lovely views to boot.
The in-house restaurant, «Trois Tilleuls», open to both patients and external guests, offers an outstanding selection of regional and Mediterranean dishes as well as a fine selection of accompanying wines. The restaurant’s sun terrace has a wonderful view over the city of Winterthur.
As if these services weren’t accommodating enough, the clinic also offers chauffeur service to comfortably transport visitors from anywhere in Switzerland both to the clinic and back home again.
