The Pink Ribbon Christmas Gala that took place on November 26, 2022, was especially inspiring this year thanks to Irish singing superstar Ronan Keating and the dazzling musical show he put on along with musicians, and Pink Ribbon ambassadors, Eliane Müller, Tiziana Gulino, Jesse Ritch and Luca Hänni.
In addition to the special concert, almost 200 guests were treated to an exclusive four-course dinner in the beautiful ballroom of the Zurich’s Dolder Grand Hotel and various surprises throughout the evening, including an emotional film showing the commitment of Pink Ribbon Switzerland over the last 15 years, and a spectacular dance performance featuring 35 dancers that was put together by star choreographer, Curtis Burger.
Together with his family, Ronan Keating founded the Marie Keating Foundation in 1998 after losing his beloved mother, then aged 51, to breast cancer. Since then, the Keatings have been campaigning for prevention against the disease and want the Marie Keating Foundation to help make sure that no other family goes through this terrible path of suffering.
This year, an incredible CHF 185,000 was donated at the gala, the most that’s been collected at a Pink Ribbon Switzerland event since 2007.
The donations from 2022’s Pink Ribbon Christmas Gala will be used for a project that Pink Ribbon Switzerland is working on together with the Marie Keating Foundation to help breast cancer patients find their way back to a “normal” life after treatment. Along with plenty of valuable advice on leading a psychologically and physically healthy lifestyle, the project also helps those living with the condition understand what returning to work will look like.
