To be honest, I am not a morning person that jumps out of bed ready to conquer the world. It takes me time to become fully awake as I start my day and set about my morning routines, and as you can imagine, a cup of coffee is key. That’s why I am excited to partner with Nespresso to share my secrets to a successful morning.
During the working week, I start my morning by letting the sun in, drinking a warm glass of water and preparing breakfast. I enjoy variety, so my breakfast menu varies from day to day. I often choose between a typical Swiss morning dish called “Bircher Muesli” (grains, fresh fruits and nuts mixed with milk), fruits and berries, a smoothie, porridge or just some fresh goodies from the local bakery. The most essential part of my morning is a cup of coffee that invigorates me, shakes off the last remnants of sleepiness and sets the rhythm for the day. The process alone of making coffee and its rich aroma tells my body that it is time awaken. At the moment I prefer the Nespresso coffee variety Envivo Lungo with milk because of its intense and rich taste, pronounced caramel notes and gingerbread aroma, served in a cute and colorful Limited Edition Pixie Lungo cup.
If I do not have to rush somewhere, I love reading something inspiring in the morning. I try to avoid checking emails or social media so as not to overwhelm myself with loads of information. What I also enjoy doing is working on my most creative tasks for the day that will contribute to my professional and self-development.
