On a hilltop, 914 meters above sea level in the small town of Ennetbürgen not far from Lucerne, you will find the beautiful four-storey boutique Hotel Villa Honegg. Built in 1905 and reopened in 2011, Villa Honegg contains 23 suites and has a lot to offer its guests and visitors.
During my stay at this luxury hotel, I enjoyed the fairytale location, the amazing panoramic views over the mountains and Lake Lucerne, the secluded setting and elegant interior design of the room and public areas.
There are all sorts of ways to relax at this boutique hotel: a Finnish sauna and steam bath, private in-house cinema with 20 seats, spa facilities and a technogym, a restaurant which has been awarded 14 Gault-Millau points, an outdoor whirlpool heated to 34C and a spacious terrace.
What I liked most about Hotel Villa Honegg was the feeling of complete relaxation, when you can switch off, let go of your everyday routine and just recharge your batteries, observing nature from this cozy and luxurious place.
