Giesserei is a former foundry and now an event and restaurant location with a post-industrial atmosphere.
Located in Zurich-Oerlikon, Giesserei is close to the big exhibition hall Messe Zurich and the Hallen Stadium as well as numerous companies and business centers in the area. Such a location makes it a perfect place to both have a business lunch, drinks before a show in the evening, to hold a team meeting or a workshop, as well as just to relax during a candle lit dinner enjoying the warmth and coziness of a fireplace.
The soon-to-be 100 year old factory is decorated with art pieces of the Swiss artist Lukas Hofkunst (who used to organize parties with his friends in this rustic location) and remodelled by the famous designer Alfredo Häberli. As a result, the charm of the industrial daily life is preserved and a modern touch is skilfully added.
Flying dinners, gala dinners, barbecue buffets, chestnut roastings, press conferences, fashion shows or product presentations – the possibilities are endless. There is even an underground club with DJ equipment for late night dancing fun.
Fidel Gastro AG and Ursin Mirer has a great job turning the place into something special artsy.
