The gourmet event GenussHoch 12 at the Small Luxury Hotel Ambassador in Zurich took place for the third time this fall.
The concept is intriguing: 12 courses, 8 wines and 4 hotel locations. For one September evening the hotel charms its guests with great views of the lake and live kitchen highlights. Top chefs pamper the guests with meals paired with skillfully selected wine and served in four different rooms of the Hotel Ambassador. Upon arrival guests get a map and a drink in the lobby and embark on a culinary journey.
David Krüger, the chef of the hotel’s restaurant Opera has further developed the concept of holding gourmet events by working with guest chefs from local restaurants. Bringing together creative minds and passionate people and using fresh regional ingredients is the secret of this successful event series at the Ambassador Hotel. Among the guest chefs this year were BBQ World Champion Alex Kunert, Eric Glauser, head chef of the restaurant at the department store Globus at Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich and Pascal Kleber from the Hotel Belvoir in Rüschlikon.
Nice crowd, DJ tunes, and the hotel’s rooftop bar with breathtaking views over the city, the lake and the Alps contributed to the enjoyable ambience of the evening.
