IWC, luxury watch manufacturer from Shaffhausen, is for the second time a co-partner of the Zurich Film Festival.
During the 11th Zurich Film Festival in September 2015 Oscar Winner Christoph Waltz presented the very first Filmmaker award. The presentation took place at the IWC gala dinner in Park Hayatt Zurich with guests from media, movie, art, commerce and politics fields. The award, which was worth 100 000 Swiss Francs was set up by the Association for the Promotion of Film in Switzerland, that was co-founded by IWC CEO Georges Kern. The motto of this exclusive event was “For the Love of Cinema”.
This kind of award is meant to support promising film projects in their production stages. Marc Forster, Swiss and Hollywood film director, was a member of the jury and gave interviews on the red carpet before the gala dinner.
