The exhibition “World Press Photo 2023” presents the world’s best press photographs of the past year. A total of over 60,000 images were submitted by 3752 photographers from 127 countries, from which a global jury made a selection.
The topics range from the war in Ukraine to the effects of climate change and the protests in Iran. The global retrospective of the year 2022 makes it possible to look at the fast-moving current events in the media for once in peace, to get to know them from previously unknown perspectives and to reflect critically on them.
