“Fashion and Sport” at the Olympic Museum

From 5 December 2024 to 27 April 2025, the Olympic Museum in Lausanne will be hosting the Musée des Arts Décoratifs Paris and an exhibition entitled “Fashion and Sport – From One Podium to Another“.

Curated by Sophie Lemahieu of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs Paris, this exhibition will feature over 250 items of clothing and accessories, offering a fascinating journey through the evolution of sportswear from the 1800s to today. It pays homage to the trailblazing fashion designers of the interwar years and examines the ever-growing influence of sport on contemporary fashion. Visitors will also discover the groundbreaking collaborations between luxury fashion houses and sporting brands, as well as the pivotal role many athletes now play as ambassadors for these prestigious labels.
