Featuring 20 international and national super acts and a four-and-a-half-hour sold-out show, the ninth edition of the Energy Air music event took place on the evening of Saturday, 9th September. There were 50,000 music fans at the Stadium Letzigrund in Zurich, and it was spectacular: an unannounced guest appearance by superstar Anastacia, the summer hit “Italodisco” with The Kolors, soulful performances by James Blunt and Passenger, Swiss rap by Stress, EAZ, Mimiks & LCone, and L Loko & Drini – and many more highlights and surprises!
Energy Air partner Die Mobiliar hosted the guest appearance by none other than the pop queen, Anastacia. She announced her new album and got the whole stadium singing along with hits such as “I’m Outta Love“, and an English version of the Die-Toten-Hosen hit “Tage Wie Diese“. The Swiss singer Baschi, also gave a short performance and was announced as the first act of the Energy Star Night on Friday, 15th December, 2023. It will take place for the first time in Baschi’s hometown of Basel.
To top off the night, there was a top-class performance from the French-speaking part of Switzerland in Zurich. Stress knows the Energy event stages very well and proved to everyone – once again – why he is still one of the best rappers in Switzerland. Bastian Baker sang his hit, “I’d Sing For You“, among others, and the whole stadium sang along. Energy Air’s main partner, Swisscom, brought two artists on stage, Badnaiy and Gigi, who united French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland.
