Elite Model Look Switzerland – new horizons for young models and a great show
Yesterday I had the chance to visit a very glamorous event in Zurich – the finale of Elite Model Look Switzerland (their website). Elite Model Look is an international model contest whose main purpose is to discover young models. It takes place in more than 70 countries, and Switzerland is one of them. This year it included a male models edition that made the contest even more special.
Some local prominent Swiss figures were invited to Elite Model Look Switzerland at the Maag Music Hall this year, including models, singers, and moderators. Among the attendees were Luca Hänni, the rock band “Plasma”, Christa Rigozzi, and the British singer Marlon Roudette, who is known for his singles “New Age”, “Big city life” and “When the beat drops out”, which he performed live at the event.
From 12 finalists, the jury chose 15-year-old Johanna Brendow from Geneva. Raphael Hatt from Lichtenstein won the men’s edition of the contest. I was lucky enough to have a chat with both of them and take some pictures that I am eager to share with you. They are very sweet and ambitious young people, by the way!
Elite Model Look Switzerland made possible:
This event was sponsored by the multi-brand store Jelmoli, a premium department store in Zurich at Bahnhofstrasse that offers a great variety of fashion brands, has a nice cosy bar and a large cosmetics section. The main media partner was my favourite Swiss fashion magazine Si Style !
I enjoyed the catwalk and the outfits worn by the models, the short interviews with the young ladies, and the overall show itself! It was well organized, which inspires and brings glamour and excitement into one’s everyday life.
