Baselworld takes place every year in Switzerland, uniting businesses involved in the watch and jewelry industry, as well as those who just want to get acquainted with the latest collections and take a look at the variety of prominent Swiss and international watch and jewelry brands. The world’s premier watch brands such as Patek Philippe and Rolex are Swiss made, so there is no better place than Switzerland to admire watches or hold a related business event.
I found the location of the exhibition at Messe Basel very nice; Messe Basel is just at the city center and only 10 minutes from the main station. There are several exhibition halls and all kinds of maps, apps and signs that make it easy to get around and find the needed exhibitors.
This year around 1, 500 watch, jewelry and similar accessory brands were exhibiting. I saw people buying things, discovering new trends and holding business meetings. Most of the brands have their own booths that resemble modern and chic houses and are decorated in a very elegant and unique way. The style and décor of the booths reflect the character of each brand and the message it carries.
Baselworld lasted the whole week, giving everyone an opportunity to visit the exhibition and get the most of it.
