Park Hotel Bellevue in Adelboden is impossible to overlook. It is located just above the centre of the village of Adelboden in the western Bernese Oberland. At 1,400m above sea level, it is a very sunny area with all cable cars situated just a few minutes away from the hotel. Park Hotel Bellevue has a history of 115 years and has been owned by the Richard family since 1926.
The rooms are very bright and can truly boast of having a “belle vue” as they face the gorgeous Swiss Alps landscape. It was so nice to wake up in the morning and while still laying in bed, enjoy an amazing view on the mountains in the valley.
The restaurant (with 14 «Gault Millau» points) offered great regional cuisine made from local products, including meat, vegetables and an amazing local cheese selection. I enjoyed having breakfast in the room overlooking the park that surrounds the hotel. It was a very peaceful and restful start to the day that included bread, honey and fine Swiss birchermüsli of course.
Another highlight for me was the outdoor pool with 34°c warm water enriched with Rheinfelden salt. It is a very relaxing experience to swim in the pool and look at the mountain peaks, snow, trees and Swiss chalets.
