This year’s Kispiball at the iconic Baur au Lac hotel in Zurich was a heartwarming evening dedicated to supporting children and young people with heart diseases. The event raised an incredible 441,000 CHF, which will directly benefit the Heart Center at Zurich Children’s Hospital, providing vital care and a brighter future for young patients facing heart defects.
The night began in the enchanting garden with a cocktail hour, accompanied by the delightful tunes of the Swing Kids. Guests were welcomed by Prof. Michael Grotzer and hotel director Wilhelm Luxem, followed by a moving account from Jonah Furrer, a 19-year-old whose life has been profoundly shaped by the Heart Center’s expertise. Jonah, born with a heart defect, shared his inspiring journey through multiple surgeries and a remarkable recovery.
The gala dinner, spread across the Baur au Lac’s elegant halls, featured an elegant dining experience complemented by a silent auction and raffle. The celebrations culminated at midnight in the Petit Palais, where Festival Mibely took to the stage, entertaining guests as the grand raffle prizes were announced.
The next Kispiball is set to take place on November 1, 2025—mark your calendars for another night of purpose and celebration!
A heartfelt thank you to Ferragamo and all the event partners for making this evening unforgettable.
