The Salto Natale circus impressed me for the second time in my life last weekend. This winter circus, located just 5 minutes away from the Zurich airport, belongs to the famous Swiss circus dynasty, Knie. Father and son Gregory and Rolf Knie founded the circus 13 years ago. This year’s program is called “Dream Catcher” as of the acts are about dreams, miracles and mysteries.
Salto Natale performances promise to impress with their great dancers, gymnasts, trapeze and trampoline artists, Swiss comedians, beautiful costumes, and live music. I especially liked the voice and songs of Patric Scott.
Gregory Knie himself later on greeted the audience and talked about the performers and the circus. He also danced with everyone in the final number, which I thought was a nice touch.
The last show will take place on January 3rd, 2016. Tickets are sold in a variety of categories, including VIP options with dinner and backstage access.
