The Estée Lauder Switzerland team held a wonderful charity evening at Zurich hotel, Uto Kulm, in honour of the brand’s 30th anniversary of its fight against cancer. Lucky guests enjoyed beautiful views over the city, Lake Zurich, and the Alps, a flying diner, a Champagne bar, live music, tombola prizes, entertainment, and an unveiling of some exquisite Pink Ribbon art pieces. It all made for a night filled with joy, compassion, and surprises.
In 1992, Evelyn H. Lauder co-created the Pink Ribbon and launched the Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer campaign, inspiring a global movement around its mission to help create a breast cancer-free world for all. Just one year later, in 1993, Evelyn Lauder founded the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), the campaign’s leading non-profit organization partner dedicated to advancing the world’s most promising research to eradicate breast cancer.
The evening was hosted by Alexandra Maurer, a Swiss television and radio presenter and editor, while a DJ set was performed by none other than Annina Frey, a Swiss music producer and techno DJ. A live performance was given courtesy of Pilar Vega, a talented Swiss R&B/Neo Soul singer with Caribbean roots who’s currently the talk of Switzerland!
Under the hashtag #TimeToEndBreastCancer the evening’s guests were spreading the word, raising awareness, and encouraging people to regularly perform breast check-ups. There was also the chance to donate to the cause via Swiss foundations like «Look Good Feel Better» which offers free beauty workshops for people suffering from breast cancer all over Switzerland.
